Day Three :)

So today was day three of my diet. I walked almost two miles at the lake by my house with the kiddos in the stroller (jogged part of the way) and played at the park with the kids for 4 hours.

I feel amazing, and so happy with myself, even without pounds dropping off of the scale yet.

I took the kids to sonic today for lunch and wanted to get a slushy and chicken strips and I stopped myself. I drank a huge Diet Cherry Limeade, and ate all of the ice, and ate a grilled chicken wrap with low fat ranch. I also drank water the rest of the day.

I just started a new job, and I love my boss' kids. I spent the day watching them and my one year old, and we had a blast.

My mom bought me a new pair of New Balance tennis shoes as a motivation to start walking everyday. They are pink and white, and have a race for the cure symbol on them.

I decided today, that I want my goal to be this: Lose around 15-20 pounds by Christmas. This might be very challenging with the holidays coming up, but hopefully I will have some support!!

I think I might take some pictures of me now and post, and when I lose some weight, keep updating...what do you guys think?

Here are two questions i have: What are some great snacks on the go that you like to eat that are healthy?

Also, when dieting, how often should I weigh?

  1. Hey! So about the 15-20 pounds, it just depends on how much you have to lose. I know that for some people it comes off really quickly and for some it doesn't! But if you work hard at it, and that is around my goal as well actually, we can do it!
I have found for on the go snacks that are healthy are Cliff Bars. They are purely organic, and even though the word organic kind of throws you off at first, they are AMAZING! They have some protein in them which is always good for when you are losing weight and they have a little bit of energy supplement in them. Not enough for you to feel it but its just a boost! They come in amazing flavors, and the chocolate brownie tastes JUST like a chocolate brownie and is HEAVEN. But if you want to go healthier, then go for the blueberry flavored ones, or the oatmeal raison. Both are amazing! Always keep almonds (if salted go for sea salt) on hand. A handful of those keeps you full! If you get the smaller cliff bars, they are good for a snack but the bigger ones can fill you up for your lunch or even breakfast :)
