It is probably a horrible thing that I am posting this BUT today is your LAST CHANCE TO SPLURGE! If you're planning on starting with us tomorrow, enjoy today! :) I believe in, especially when you are in your "diet" zone, having a day in the week where you enjoy your food is crucial. There is no way that your "diet" is going to work if at the end of the week you want this food, and that food, and that drink. You need to let yourself enjoy once and awhile.
So today my mom, who never ever does this, brought home McDonald's for lunch. My first thought was Ooh sounds good! Then my second thought was shiiiiit, that is so bad for me. I reminded myself that starting tomorrow I wasnt going to eat anything like this for a very long time so why not?
I know a lot of people eat fast food on the go, but it is SO bad for you! If you can give it up I think you will be shocked and surprised at the results you get. They pump so many preservatives in the meat, and there are so many things in their food that dont just effect your weight. Can you give it up?
Startting tomorrow I am going to eat a healthy breakfast (I have a recipe to share with you) a healthy lunch and also a healthy dinner! I plan on exercising 30 minutes at least four times a week. Remember that 3500 calories equals a pound. You need to know something before you go into working out and counting calories. There is this thing called BMR. It measures how many calories your body burns on its own without exercising. Mine is 1700. Now dont COUNT on this number but keep it in mind! If you can take out 300 calories to your diet a day, y0u are adding to your BMR. I put a link to where you can calculate your BMR where the "BMR" is bold. Click it and see !
I have been told by my doctor and many other articles that in order for you to get a good workout, for women especially, you NEED to sweat for 30 minutes. So if you go on the treadmill for 30 minutes and 10 of those are you warming up and youre not sweating, that doesn't count. So get sweating girls :)
Ok here are some recipes that I have tried, or am going to try because other friends said they worked. They are easy as long as you have a blender for one of them.
Good Start Morning Smoothie
1 1/2 - 2 cups acai juice (they sell it at Sams Club or Walmart)
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 cup FRS energy concentrate (optonal)
full tablespoon flax seed (mandatory)
2 - 3 spoonfuls of vanilla or plain yogurt (helps with the bitter taste of acai juice)
2 full cups frozen mixed berries (I like frozen cuz it keeps smoothie cold)
- Now I have used Acai juice and it has MANY benefits to it, it just doesn't taste good...at all. So pair it with something sweet :)

Fast, Easy and Filling Lunch
One Light Yoplait Yogurt (They range from 90-110 calories each with NO FAT)
OR Light Greek Yogurt (flavored)
1/2 cup of Bran flakes
1/2 cup of oats
-I eat this every day for lunch for the past two weeks and I LOVE it. It fills me up and I feel good after eating it.
Try these out, and let me know what you think :) And remember you DONT HAVE TO start tomorrow, but I am setting this goal for myself and I think Krystal is as well. Have fun you guys and let's do this!
