What do you eat for breakfast and lunch?

So, I think my problem most of all is that I THINK I am eating healthy, but then when I do my research I'm not. What I have heard from people, and doctors is that you need carbs to lose weight. Now, when I was about 15 years old I started exercising and eating better and I ended up losing almost 30 pounds in 4 months. I exercised everyday, except sundays and I would make sure I was sweating for 30 minutes everyday. For breakfast, and for some reason this sounds gross to people, but I like to have a piece of whole grain whole wheat toast with some peanut butter on it.
Now Missimari101 pointed out to me that peanut butter is not good for you when you use a lot of it, just like anything else. My mom buys a all natural one so I think and hope that helps me out.
For lunch, and I was talking to someone the other day about this, but I usually vary what I eat. However, lately I have been in love with this one preperation. I either use light (Which is is no fat 100 cal) yoplait yogurt (I prefer blueberry or strawberry) OR Greek Yogurt (which is low in fat and is high in protein) and then I put in 1/4-1/2 cup of oats that you use to make oatmeal and then if I want more crunch I put in a little bit of bran crunch. Which is the flakes from raisen bran.
I was talking to someone who is losing weight right now and she thought that sounded very healthy and a good thing to eat. You are getting your protein, your good fats (NO SAT FAT) and fiber!
For dinner, my mom, whom yes I still live with, usually makes something very healthy for dinner. Last night we had baked asparagus with some herbs and olive oil on it and tilapia with some reduced fat shredded cheese and herbs to flavor.
So my question to all of you, what do you eat for breakfast and lunch? What is your healthy meal and has it been working for you?

  1. Hey Alex - I found your blog kinda by accident and I love the concept. I have actually had the same concept before myself. I think it's a wonderful idea to plan to go to the premier and I think it works really good to motivate. Here are my favorite things for:
    Breakfast:
    whole wheat english muffin
    cup strawberries
    cup mandrine oranges
    banana
This will keep you full for a WHILE
    Lunch
    Salad Greens
    sunflower seeds
    madrine oranges
    carrots
    fat free honey mustard dressing
This is really tasty and filling.
I hope to come back often to read your blog. Please check mine out: Southern Fan Fiction Review. It is an ADULT site - I am not sure if you are old enough. But if you are, I hope you enjoy it. If you are NOT - don't do it. Let's just be friends on here ok?
